ATLANTIC CITY, NJ—At the end of this month, the Golden Nugget, here, will have completed an extensive $150-million renovation project—unveiling a more refined, modern resort experience. By transforming the failing Trump Marina into a world-class premier resort destination, owner Tilman J. Fertitta has revitalized the Marina District, bringing new energy and economic promise to the famous destination.

"The transformative renovation of the Golden Nugget will only increase the awareness of the already highly recognized Golden Nugget brand," Fertitta said in a statement.

With the addition of several new signature restaurant concepts, a $6-million salon and spa, plus new lounges and clubs, gambling is only part of the multi-million dollar transformation. The newly renovated Grand Ballroom will host top-name acts, such as Third Eye Blind, The Oak Ridge Boys, Cake Boss Buddy Valastro and Whoopi Goldberg, during the grand opening weekend, which is slated for April 26-29.

The hotel and casino's renovations include: a sun-filled atrium space; a lobby, refurbished to provide a modern feel, complete with contemporary chandeliers, a marble desk and built-in iPads; remodeled guestrooms and suites in rich browns and reds with updated amenities, such as flat-screen TVs; Lillie’s Noodles, Asian Cuisine and Sushi; Chart House restaurant; Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse; Grotto Italian Ristorante; Wine and W-Fi, a place to relax and recharge; Michael Patrick's Brasserie; The Buffet; a 500-seat music venue, The Showroom; Rush Lounge; Live Bar, which features bands and cocktails; upscale gambling such as high-limit tables, the Poker Room and the 24 Karat Club; in addition to retail and the H2O Pool + Bar, a poolside lounge.
