SAN FRANCISCO—The Presidio Trust and Waterford Hotels and Inns have completed the renovation of the Inn at The Presidio here.
The only hotel located within the Presidio of San Francisco, the property is located in Pershing Hall, which was originally built in 1903 as officers' quarters. Designed by Architectural Resources Group, Inc. and BraytonHughes Design Studio, the hotel was build according to LEED Gold standards. It utilizes environmentally friendly materials, repurposed elements where possible, low VOC paint, LEED nylon carpets, and insulation made from recycled denim. The hotel is also a member of Historic Hotels of America.
All of the building's original two-room suites were retained and now feature contemporary oak furniture with dark metal accents and large bathrooms with ceramic and porcelain tails. A historical collection of images and artwork from the Presidio archives is also on display in the hotel's public areas.
