Viceroy To Rebrand Two Hotels

The Tides Zihuatanejo in Mexico will soon be rebranded as a Viceroy.

LOS ANGELES—Viceroy Hotel Group will rebrand The Jalousie Plantation in Sugar Beach, St. Lucia and the Tides Zihuatanejo, Mexico as Viceroy hotels this year.

The Zihuatanejo property will be reflagged as the Viceroy Zihuatanejo later this month and The Jalousie Plantation will become the Viceroy Sugar Beach following a renovation project later this year. The company also recently reflagged the former Tides Riviera Maya in Mexico as a Viceroy. The rebrandings will help to strengthen the Viceroy brand as it pursues further expansion in Turkey, Abu Dhabi and the Maldives.

There are currently 12 Viceroy hotels open or in various stages of development in the company's portfolio. Viceroy Hotel Group also operates four hotels in its Urban Retreats collection, which are located in California and New York.
